Kudos for John Scalzi.With that said, is his vocabulary so poor that he can't think of any way to express himself other than with pathetically trite obscenities? Yes, that's how soldiers talk, but forgive me for being distracted by coarse language that doesn't further the plot or elevate the characters or scene in any appreciable way. (He should have included Alex Horn-and his ""Theatre of All Possibilities""-in his list of reference material.) The soul-searching in this book appears to be sincere.at the least I found it very meaningful.
